The University of Cambridge has been rated as the best in the world for Anthropology in the influential global rankings by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds): see
UK universities as a whole have done well in the rankings this year, especially in the arts and humanities, but even so only ten departments at UK Universities have been ranked in their particular academic subject world-wide. The Department of Social Anthropology are pleased that the recent recognition of their success by the University in re-establishment as an independent department should be followed by this international acclaim.
