About
Dr Robbie Duschinsky is Head of the Applied Social Science Group within the Primary Care Unit, and Director of Studies in Sociology at Sidney Sussex College.
Robbie is co-PI of the “Living Assessments” Collaborator Award, funded by Wellcome, exploring the integration of health and social care in assessments of children.
Among other projects, Robbie is leading the qualitative component of an NIHR-funded trial of a behavioural weight management programme for the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes (PI, Amy Ahern). He is also co-I on a Wellcome Trust Innovator Award “Prediction of adolescent mental health from electronic health records (PANTHER)” (PI, Irene Pederson).
Robbie is an Associate Editor of BMJ Medical Humanities, and serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Gender Studies. He is a member of the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Governance Group for the School of Clinical Medicine, and a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Steering Group for Wellcome.

Research
Robbie’s research interests primarily concern child and family mental health, the integration of health and social care, and the use of qualitative methods within primary care research. He also has interests in the sociology of gender and in sociological theory (especially affect theory and Foucault).
